About the planet

But we don’t stop there. Half of our income goes directly into environmental restoration, making our impact not just carbon-neutral, but net-positive. Along the way, we sync our compute with the sun and automatically optimize your files to be as small as possible.

We’ve built our global network with only the greenest partners, all verified by the Green Web Foundation. At the heart of this is Leaf.cloud, powered by renewable energy and designed to reuse heat for warming public buildings and providing hot water.

Silvan Bolt sits between your domain and your server. It automatically caches and optimizes public pages and assets, then distributes them across our global, green network.

  • Your website will be requested to measure how long it takes to load.
  • A temporary preview domain will be created.
  • The homepage of your website will be cached on the preview domain.
  • The preview will be requested to measure how long it takes to load.
  • You will get a speed comparison between your website and the preview domain.
  • You can open the preview domain, click around, and compare it with your own site.
  • A 
    robots.txt
    file will be added to the preview domain, to prevent indexing by search engines.
  • Links to other pages and assets referenced by the homepage will also be cached. In this test it may take a few minutes, but in a real project it can be configured so that your users never have to wait for it.

Fast from the start

Your pages can be ready from the very first request, even when your content changes. Your server doesn’t have to serve anything directly to users, which can significantly reduce costs. Cache revalidation can be done through the dashboard or via the HTTP API.
