Sustainability

We built Silvan Earth with one goal in mind: to make the web better for the planet. That starts with how we host our services and how we design our infrastructure.

Green hosting only

All our production infrastructure runs exclusively on green hosting providers that are verified by The Green Web Foundation. We do not use fossil-powered data centers, and we do not rely on offsetting as a substitute for clean operations.

Our primary hosting partner is:

Leafcloud (Netherlands)

• Powered by 100% renewable energy.
• Reuses server heat to warm buildings and provide hot water.
• Verified green provider by The Green Web Foundation.

We are also in the process of expanding to other verified green providers in additional regions. These will be listed here as we add them.

Services hosted green

The following parts of our infrastructure are fully powered by renewable energy:

• The Silvan Bolt CDN.
• Our origin caching and asset storage.
• All APIs and internal services.
• The silvan.earth website itself.

Beyond green hosting

We schedule heavy compute when solar energy is most available, and we commit 50% of our income to nature restoration and rewilding efforts around the world. Our mission is not only to reduce emissions, but to actively repair what has been damaged.
